Thank you for considering being a Safe Haven volunteer. While Safe Haven offers a humane alternative to distressed parents who feel they can't care for a child, it can't be effective if people don't know about it. That's where you come in.
The online resources here have everything you need to help get the word out. Posters, ads and bulletin inserts express our message in its simplest form don't abandon your baby and highlight the law's main points. The notecards are small enough for anyone who might want to keep this information close at hand but out of sight. The brochure explains in simple language how Safe Haven works in more detail. The online video and audio public service announcements tell the Safe Haven story. Our linking tools can help you spread the news online. We've also included a few suggestions on how to get started.
New Jersey is also spreading the word about Safe Haven through a variety of media, including radio, cable television, billboards, bus signs, here on the Web and more. A teacher's curriculum kit on Safe Haven is also available for use in classrooms. None of these activities, however, will be as effective without your help. We don't know your neighborhood as well as you do. We can't reach out to people in your community who need to hear about Safe Haven as well as you can.
Together, we can save more lives. If you have any questions, please contact us.
